I've dabbled in different creative fields, but filmmaking was something that decidedly stood out to me because it is such a powerful, multifaceted medium for immersing into certain stories or other perspectives. I think therein my drive (along with any other visual communications that I do) is my desire to connect, and my intrigue towards different perspectives, stories and emotions. 'WANDERLUST' & 'WATERLICHAMEN' | TRAILERS & SHORT DOCUMENTARY | AUGUST 2024
'Wanderlust' is a one man poetic and musical performance by Philipp Cahrpit about coming home within ourselves and each other. 'Waterlichamen' is mini documentary about a different performance by Philipp Cahrpit, where together with Max Jonker and Timon Persoon, they go on a journey of fluidity within themselves and with their audience.
'TENT' | KIDS THEATRE | TRAILERS | 2021 - 2023
'Tent' (1+) was an interactive performance by Club Wauw, which creates a playful, imaginative and dreamy story. Children can join in the performance and find safe haven under the glittery tent. 'Binnenwoud' (1+) was an interactive performance by 'Profound Play', where children can explore a mystical forest and play with natural elements of the forest. 'Door weer en wind' (4+) was a performance by Rachel Schuit, which presents an adventure through the exciting elements of the weather. 'Gustav en de vliegfiets' (8+) by PNTheater, tells the story of a boy named Gustav that discovers exciting inventions of a friend, on a summer vacation in France.
'MASTERPLAN' | SPOOF/COMEDY | 2023
'Masterplan' was a personal project: each year there is a Dutch holiday ('Sinterklaas') where -similar to secret santa- you get a gift for a friend/family/whomever you're celebrating with, but traditionally for the Dutch one, you make something called a 'suprise'. This is usually a poem, or sometimes a scavenger hunt or a crafted thing. Me and my friends have taken this concept and taken it to 'higher levels'; through the years we have made songs, videos, animations and live performances for each other. The video 'Masterplan' is what I made for my friend Jan. Albeit filled with inside jokes that may not all be understood from an outsider perspective, it's a great showcase of what I can/want to do with creative freedom. It was a thoroughly enjoyable project, and the first time I made music and wrote a rap song.
MULTIMEDIA DANCE PERFORMANCES | TRAILERS & TEASERS | 2021 - 2023
X_YUSUF_BOSS is the house and platform of the self-made choreographer Mohamed Yusuf Boss, who aims to build bridges between art disciplines, communities and individuals. When I was working with X_YUSUF_BOSS they were developing the performance LÍX; a multimedia performance of dance, music, and video, telling stories of different generations of Somalian communities in the Netherlands.

SAMEEN is a project bureau in Groningen focused on sustainable projects. Their mission is to make the job market sustainable from the bottom up by connecting ambitious students to sustainable projects in the professional field.
